More About Us

Innovation for Vanadium Flow Batteries and Sustainable Mining Solutions

In parallel with its exploration activities, VanadiumCorp is advancing renewable energy solutions and sustainable mining.

Electrolyte Pilot Plant “Vanadium Énergie Nordique“

VanadiumCorp has established its first electrolyte pilot plant in Val-des-Sources, Québec, serving two key functions:

  • Evaluation of materials sourced from the company’s mineral assets
  • Commercial-scale production of electrolytes for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFBs), essential for long-duration energy storage

VanadiumCorp Electrochem Processing Technology (VEPT)

The company also owns the proprietary VanadiumCorp Electrochem Processing Technology (VEPT), an innovative process designed to efficiently extract vanadium, titanium, and potentially high-grade iron from vanadiferous titanomagnetite. VEPT is expected to enable a stable, long-term supply of critical metals and produce high-quality vanadium feedstock for electrolyte manufacturing.

Commitment to Sustainability

VanadiumCorp is dedicated to building a resilient and sustainable supply chain for North America’s critical minerals. Through its resource assets and proprietary technologies, the company aims to support the transition to clean energy and strengthen domestic critical mineral independence.

Our Portfolio

VanadiumCorp specializes in critical minerals essential for the rapidly growing energy storage sector. The company portfolio supports a long-duration vanadium flow batteries (VFBs) supply chain, vital for decarbonizing electrical grids worldwide. A remarkable transformation of the global energy landscape is underway as we shift toward renewable energy sources. Solar and wind energy sources are forecasted to dominate power generation. Yet, vast amounts of long-duration energy storage (LDES) are vital to time-shift and stabilize these variable energy sources. The Vanadium Flow Battery is the most mature of the LDES battery technologies.
